History

The history of CEP dates back 15 years ago when our managing partner served as an asset manager and trustee for a closely held real estate investment trust. The trust primarily focused on commercial land development opportunities and income producing assets. Responsibilities included due diligence, underwriting, risk management, financial analysis, profitability improvement and regulatory compliance.

Our managing partner gained exposure to the trust while serving as president of Crowne Business Advisors, Inc. (formerly Strategic Management Group, Inc.) where he was requested to take on the responsibility for the real estate trust, eventually becoming vice president and chief financial officer for the environmental division.
